Global Warming + Texas = One Hot Tamale!

It's getting ridiculous. By the middle of April, we here in north Texas have already broken 7 heat records. Both yesterday and today, the temp hit 101 F, with a rolling blackout throughout Dallas. On Easter, all the sweaty children were running around with their chocolate bunnies melting! I know you have to be tough to live here but damned.

Chas,

Sorry to hear about your heatwave, especially considering the wildfire situation. My wife hates hot weather, which explains why we still live in upstate New York near Lake Ontario. You can check on weather conditions close to our house on this site that gives you the current time and temp (right now it's 7:30 AM with a temp of 47F).

I dunno - we never get decent heat here so I could probably be talked into experiencing a lil Texan heat!

David both you and Alan are invited to Texas to get the feel for some real heat! But this is only April. Gotta wait for July, then we can drive down ta Crawford.

Great idea, Chas. Maybe I can hitch a ride with my buddy, Cindy Sheehan. Actually, now that I'm gainfully employed, I won't be taking any vacations for the foreseeable future. If I do get out of New York, it will be to see the granddaughter in North Carolina. If I wait long enough, I'll also be able to see the new grandson (expected this fall) as well!
